    Admittance Only During Gate Hours (Superbowl Week Excluded)
  • All applicable fees are due at check in.
  • Positive identification of every non-member adult is required at check in.
  • Preferred ID is a Driver’s License and can include an AANR member ID card.
  • First time visitors are given a tour of the grounds.
  • People frendly pets are welcome in restriced areas only. (Except during Superbowl!) [See Pet Policy Below]

 

  • White Thorn Lodge is a family nudist facility, not a clothing optional resort.
  • Do not wear clothing in the pool area, hot tub or sauna.
  • Innapropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the grounds, without refund of fees.
  • The following are prohibited:
    • Intimate contact, suggestive or overt sexual behavior.
    • Intoxication or use of illegal substances.
    • Causing or attempting to cause injury or damage to another or to property.
    • Criminal conduct.
    • Discharging of firearms; fireworks other than those sponsored by the Board at special events.
  • Visitors and guests are personally liable for any injury, accident or loss.
  • No photography of any kind is permitted (except by the official camp photographer which will be announced).
  • Glass bottle and containers pose a serious safety problem and may not be used in any of the common areas.
  • Speed limit for everyone is 10 mph.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside any club common buildings. Please use ashtrays and butt cans.
  • White Thorn Lodge does not sell or serve alcoholic beverages: members and guests may provide their own.
  • Children are always welcome at WTL. Children under legal age are the responsibility of their parent or gaurdian and must be under their direct supervision at all times.
  • Babies must wear plastic pants or pool pants in the swimming pool; disposable diapers are not permitted.
  • The pool table in the club house may be used by anyone. Adult supervision required for those under 18.
  • Please take a soap shower before you use the pool and hot tub.
  • Children under 5 are not allowed in the hot tub. Children 5-15 are allowed only with parents. Twenty minutes is the recommended time limit. Maximum number of persons is eight. Food and glass containers are prohibited.
  • WTL is a member owned private club. To control golf cart traffic, golf cart use is limited to members only. Exceptions for handicapped guests can be arranged in advance. Please contact us for details.
  • Body piercings and jewelry are permitted but if worn must be of a plain nature or design. No chains, decorative hanging items or other attention drawing items permitted. Person in violation of these restrictions can and will be asked to remove such item at the discretion of White Thorn Lodge. If not compliant, guest can and will be asked to leave White Thorn Lodge

 

  • Conduct appropriate for a family setting is expected and required at all times.
  • Carry a towel to sit upon when you’re nude; don’t sit on the bare seats of picnic tables, lounge chairs, etc.
  • Honor the privacy of other nudists; don’t ask anyone about their occupation, name, address or phone number.
  • Use first names only.

 

  • All pets must be registered at the gate upon check-in.
  • Proof of immunizations must be furnished.
  • Guests camping with pets are required to camp in the designated area in the flats.
  • Except when walking the pet, the pet is to be confined to your campsite.
  • When not on your campsite, pets must be leashed.
  • Pets are not permitted in any buildings, including the rental units, in the common areas, or the loop.
  • Pets are not permitted on member lots without permission of the lot holder.
  • You may walk your pet(s) on the roads and trails.
  • Always clean up after your pet(s).
  • Please be considerate of fellow campers; barking and/or disruptive pets will not be tolerated.
  • Failure to comply to these stipulations may result in being asked to leave WTL without a refund.
  • Absolutely no pets will be permitted during Volleyball Superbowl.

White Thorn Lodge is a co-op which means it is owned and operated 100% by White Thorn Lodge members who provide all services on a volunteer basis. That means the members who clean the rental rooms, operate the Snack Bar, operate the Gate maintain the facilities and grounds and landscaping are all unpaid volunteers.

Phone calls are answered by White Thorn Lodge members who volunteer their time so please be understanding if they do not have answers to all of your questions! 

Reservations are needed for room rentals only. Camping and RV sites are available on a first come basis.

The on-line reservation system is typically activated on April 1st.  Rental rooms can not be rented prior to April 1st.

The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham located near the Beaver County Airport in Beaver Falls, PA located at 2801 Darlington Rd, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 is about 10 miles or 15 minutes from White Thorn Lodge.  The phone number is (724) 581-5273 

Pets, smoking and cooking are not permitted in the rental rooms.  Check out time is 11AM. The rental rooms are lightly furnished and do contain a double bed and small refrigerator. 

No. Please understand, the gate at White Thorn Lodge is operated by member volunteers for 10 hours a day on weekdays and for 12 hours a day on weekends and when they are done, they are done. Please make your plans so you arrive at White Thorn Lodge during regular gate hours.

All camping and RV sites include water and electric up to 50 amps. 

Full hook ups including sewage are available at a limited number of RV sites in the flats.

Yes, a dump station is available near Bath House 2

Remember to bring: towel, sun screen, bug spray, food and drink. 

The snack bar is open for breakfast from 8 AM to 10 AM and for lunch from Noon to 2 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday Mondays. The snack bar is not open on regular weekdays and the snack bar is not open for dinner.

The Snack Bar is not open on weekdays. With the exception of Monday holidays.

No White Thorn Lodge does not offer Wi-Fi anywhere on the grounds.

Gate volunteers do not have access to, or knowledge of e-mails sent to White Thorn Lodge. Perhaps it was missed by the volunteer who reads the emails.  If you did not get a response, feel free to email your question a second time.

  1. White Thorn Lodge is family-oriented facility. Any activity considered out of the norm will not be tolerated.
  2. No photography is permitted on site. This is to protect your confidentiality as well as others.
  3. As a follow up to point #2, one does not ask a person their last name, where they are from or where they are employed unless the information is volunteered. Some visitors have sensitive positions in the textile world which requires their protection.
  4. No glass in the common areas such as the pool or gathering spots.
  5. Towels are required whenever you are sitting without clothing.

Per White Thorn Lodge Rules and Regulations, body piercings and jewelry are permitted.  No genital cages, chains, decorative hanging items or other attention-drawing items permitted. Guests in violation of these restrictions can and will be asked to remove such item at the discretion of White Thorn Lodge. No, per White Thorn Lodge rules and regulations, Golf carts shall not be operated by visitors.

White Thorn Lodge does not serve alcohol at any time. Guests are permitted to bring their own alcoholic beverages and are encouraged to drink responsibly.  Intoxication will not be tolerated and please remember; glass is not permitted in the common areas such as the pool or other gathering spots. 

White Thorn Lodge is a family nudist camp, not a clothing optional camp. Weather permitting guests are expected to be nude. Clothing of any kind is prohibited in the pool area, hot tub, sauna except for designated camp functions.

Yes, White Thorn Lodge is pet friendly as long as the following rules are followed. 

  • All pets must be registered and proof of rabies immunizations must be furnished.
  • Limit of 2 pets per lot or camping site.
  • Except when walking the pet, the pet is to be confined to their campsite. 
  • When not on campsite, pets must be leashed.
  • Pets are not permitted in any buildings, including the rental units, in the common areas, or the loop.  Pets are not permitted on other member’s lots without permission of the lot holder.  You may walk your pets on the roads and trails.  Always clean up after your pets.
  • Please be considerate of fellow members.  Barking dogs and/or disruptive pets will not be tolerated.
  • The White Thorn Lodge dog park is available for use by members and guests.  Rules for using the dog park are posted on the entrance gate. 
  • Please clean up after your dog. Failure to comply with these stipulations may result in the pets being asked to leave White Thorn Lodge.
  • Absolutely no pets permitted during Superbowl. 

The following are the rules regarding smoking at White Thorn Lodge. 

  • Smoking is prohibited inside all club common buildings including the clubhouse, bathhouses, Hawthorn Hall, Club 18, the rental rooms, the maintenance buildings, the snack bar, kitchen, the hot tub and gazebo and any other buildings used by the general membership and/or guests.
  • A low traffic area inside the pool fenced enclosure shall be designated for smoking, thus restricting smoking to that designated area.
  • Dispose of cigarette or cigar butts in the proper containers, rather than on the ground, in toilet facilities or any other unauthorized place.
  • To repeat, Please Do Not Throw Cigarette Butts On The Ground. 

Yes, White Thorn Lodge maintains coin-operated washers and dryers in the laundry facility located on Main Street. 

  • This laundry facility is available for use by members and guests.
  • The washer and dryer located in the ladies’ room of Bathhouse #2 is for camp use only.
  • Washing rugs or other heavy items, or dying fabrics, is prohibited in these facilities.
  • Bring quarters or ask at the gate if you can purchase quarters. 

Campers, cabins and lots are only available to White Thorn Lodge members. Guests can not purchase campers, cabins or lots. (Exception: Campers can be purchased by guests only if they are removed from White Thorn Lodge property.)

White Thorn Lodge is a co-op that is 100% owned and operated by its members, from working the gate, cooking the food, maintaining the grounds, taking care of the trash, cleaning the bathrooms, and everything else in between. We are always looking for new members that want to be a part of White Thorn Lodge and help maintain our camp, including younger members so that in 50 years you can be a part of the 100th Superbowl of Naked Volleyball. To apply for membership, you need to have a current member sponsor you and go through a one-year probationary period. Rent a Cabin

White Thorn Lodge has four Rental Rooms available to guests. They include a queen size bed and a small refrigerator. They are close to the rest rooms and showers at bath house one, the club house which contains a microwave and the pool area.

Beginning April 1, to reserve a room, please click the link below, the room will be reserved immediately. Rooms can also be reserved by phone at (724) 846-5984 but there could be a delay in getting the room for the date you want. The room must be fully paid at the time of reservation. Rest assured, the full amount will be refunded, based upon our cancellation policy, should you cancel your reservation. Being prepaid will expedite your check-in when you arrive and also splits the cost of your stay.

  • Take Parkway West I-376 (formerly US 22/30 and PA-60 North).
  • Go past Greater Pittsburgh International Airport to Exit 31, Chippewa, PA-51 North.
  • Continue on PA-51 North for 1 mile.
  • Turn left onto PA-251 West.
  • When you’re 2 miles past PA-168, turn left onto State Line Road.

  • Take I-79 North to Parkway West/Airport/I-376, Exit 59B.
  • Follow directions From Pittsburgh above.

 

  • Follow I-79 South to New Castle, Exit 99, PA-422 West.

  • Take I-376 East to Exit 31, Chippewa, PA-51 North.
  • Continue on PA-51 North for 1 mile.

  • When you’re 2 miles past PA-168, turn left onto State Line Road.
  • Continue for 1.5 miles.

  • Take the Ohio Turnpike to Exit 232, OH-7 South.
  • Follow OH-7 South to Rogers, OH.
  • Turn East onto OH-154; beyond Negley and as it enters PA, OH-154 becomes PA-251.
  • From the Ohio/Pennsylvania border, follow PA-251 to State Line Road (approximately 1 mile).
  • Turn right onto State Line Road.
  • Continue for 1.5 miles.
  • Watch for the garden on the right and the yellow gate posts and gravel driveway on the left.

 

The creek bridge immediately after turning onto State Line Road has a sharp right angle turn. If you have a large trailer or RV (25ft or larger), we suggest you take the back route.

  • From PA-251, turn South onto PA-168.
  • Follow PA-168 approximately 2.5 miles to Lisbon Road.
  • Turn right, and follow Lisbon/State Line Road for 3.5 miles.
  • Watch for the garden on the left and yellow gate posts and gravel driveway on the right.
