White Thorn Lodge is a family nudist campground nestled in the hills of Western Pennsylvania, about an hour from Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Erie, Canton and Wheeling.
Located on more than 200 wooded acres, White Thorn Lodge offers a family friendly nudist atmosphere in a beautiful and peaceful environment. With various camping options ranging from tents to cabins, we are excited to help you plan your stay. Day passes are also available. Enjoy our heated pool, hot tub, volleyball courts, and weekend events to maximize your experience here!

The 40’ x 60’ clubhouse is the social hub of White Thorn Lodge! Enjoy live music, DJs, special dinners, yoga and more – it is THE PLACE for entertainment.
Spend time on the large patio and catch up with friends or attend our Friday night socials to meet other camp guests. On chilly nights, many people circle around our modern, metal fire pit located just steps away.

The modern 28’ X 60’ heated swimming pool with stunning deck is the perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, or swim laps – all without getting tan lines. Enjoy the jetted hot tub conveniently located just steps away. Both the pool and hot tub are fully handicapped accessible. Indoor restrooms, outdoor showers, and the sauna complete this beautiful area!

There is no shortage of activity at White Thorn Lodge! Volleyball games take place throughout the day on our two hard and three deep sand courts. Two Pickleball courts and a tennis court provide even more options to make the most out of your stay. Nearby, a grass all-purpose playing field is used for cornhole and kickball events.

The snack bar is managed and staffed by our members. Breakfast and Lunch are served Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. Check the events schedule for activity-based dinner events as we often hold pot lucks and cookouts throughout the Summer.

Rental Cabins
Four rental rooms were built by the members (as were most facilities at White Thorn) and face the large open camping area. We recommend that you make a reservation well in advance of a visit.

Bocce Court
The bocce court with its surrounding lawn is a favorite gathering place every day and evening for both experienced and novice bocce players. The pool and children’s playground are close by.
The Pond
THE POND, located at the bottom of Pond Road, was once used as a swimming hole. This idyllic spot nestled in the woods has undergone many recent improvements including the addition of a floating dock and pavilion. Future plans include the addition of a lighted fountain!

Important Details
In 1965 under the name WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA HEALTH AND ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION, INC., White Thorn Lodge registered as a non-profit corporation. White Thorn Lodge established itself as tax-exempt Social Club consisting of members with a shared interest in wholesome, family-oriented social nudism.
Our goal to provide a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy athletic, recreational, and social nudism opportunities has been embraced by thousands of guests. We’re proud of having created a vibrant resort for a community of like-minded individuals.
White Thorn Lodge operates as a non-profit social club, and membership is required to enjoy our facilities during the season. Guests visiting White Thorn Lodge are required to pay their Social Membership fee on their first visit each year and this covers the grounds fees for that particular day. The Social Membership fee does not cover camping fees, guests who wish to camp will pay the regular camping fees in addition to the Social Membership Fee. After the first day, normal ground and camping fees apply for any additional days the guest visits.
Purchased at the first visit of each new season, Social Membership provides the bearer access to the resort’s grounds and amenities. Subsequent visits following the day of Social Membership purchase will be subject to the Grounds and Camping Fees published on our website.
The membership is valid during White Thorn Lodge’s open season (Memorial Day through the Wednesday following Labor Day).
Any special event exceptions will be noted on our website when applicable.
Please note the Social Membership level does not provide the benefits of full White Thorn Lodge membership. However, Social Members are encouraged to consider becoming Full Members. Members of White Thorn Lodge’s Membership Committee are available to answer any questions regarding the membership process.
