GOOD NEWS! The bridge on Stateline Rd, off Rt 251 is now open. The past weekend, June 15 - 17 was a lot of good times at White Thorn Lodge. Friday evening DJ John played music from the 50’s and 60’s to help get us in the mood for the weekend. We had a social get together on the patio with root beer floats. Black Cows, for those of you old enough to remember the Good Old Days.

Noon on Saturday started the 2nd Annual White Thorn Lodge Nude Car Cruise in the park with music from the 50’s and 70’s once again provided by DJ John. We had 20 vechicles,17 cars, 2 motorcycles and a toy John Deere tractor entered by 4 yr old Jordan who won a tractor cap and water gun for his entry. In the adult division: Rich took 3rd place with his 64 Corvette. Tom and Jean took 2nd with their 65 Biscayne. First place went to Tom and Rosanne took 1st place with a 1970 Plymouth Super Bird. Mike and Audrey took 1st place in the Motorcycle division with a 1952 BSA, a true classic bike. Brad and Debbie in their Black & Gold Steeler truck, took the award for Greatest Distance traveled, 145 miles to be in our show. All winners received a plaque, suitable for mounting. All contestants received a dash plaque.

While this was going on we also had Horseshoe tournament. The tournament brought five participants who enjoyed over 2 hours of competative play. By the end of the afternoon, visitor Beau managed to best the other players, and received a WTL monogramed towel and carrying bag for his victory. Congratulation Beau and thanks to all that competed.

At dinner time we were treated to an Italian pot luck dinner hosted by Betty of Al and Nancy of Ken. A special thanks goes out to all the people that pitched in and helped getting the club house ready for the dinner. It was a great dinner, thanks to all that helped making this a great success.

The fun wasn’t over then. At 9:00 pm DJ Larry took the stage and provided us with some great music for a 50’s Sock Hop Dance.

Sunday morning we had coffee and doughnuts on the patio to honor Dads on Father’s Day. After that it was just a good day to enjoy the pool or just doing what you enjoy the best, whether it was volleyball or just hanging out with friends.

NEXT WEEKEND’S EVENTS:

• Friday evening, June 22, we start with banana splits on the patio.
• Saturday. Survivor White Thorn, see the flier on the Events page of our website.
• 6:00 pm we have a baked potato pot luck, hosted by Sunny and Frank.
• After dinner, at dusk it will be Survivor Tribal Council.
• At 9:00pm Shooting Star takes the stage for a DJ Dance Party and Karaoke. Remember the more beer you drink the better you sing. LOL

We also had the pleasure of welcoming some people to visit White Thorn Lodge and experience social nudity for the first time. Everyone enjoyed the experience and we are looking forward to you all coming back soon.
