Weekend of July 24/25

Considering the weather we still had a good crowd to enjoy the activities. Friday evening we enjoyed the big band sounds on the patio. Saturday evening 50 people enjoyed the bingo. There were some very nice door prizes, including an electric coffee pot with two travel mugs.

Also Saturday evening a group gathered at Terry's trailer to celebrate his 50th birthday. A few of the guys took Terry out to a local tavern for a birthday party. By the time they got back to camp a group had decorated and set up the food table at his trailer for the party. Needless to say he was so surprise it knocked his pants off. Which is appropriate for a nudist resort. Good friends, good food and some drinks along with a great campfire made for a great evening.

The cool temperature didn’t stop the kids from having a good time at the scavenger hunt. Kenny won some really cool Transformers while his partner. Derrick chose the 20 Questions game. Raven and Teresa won beach towels. Nan said that all the kids had a good time. The time for the junior bocce tournament schedule for Saturday, Aug 1 has been changed to a 2:00 PM start.

Donna’s euchre tournament was also a lot of fun for the twelve players to play. Thanks to all that participated. The next tounaments are Aug 8 and Aug 29.

The long range weather forecast is calling for partly sunny and high temps in the 80’s. Just right for WTL’s 5th annual Luau!! John and Lisa have put together a group of great events. Starting Friday evening with a "Blender Party" on the patio.

We just found out that Marni the masseuse will be giving massages Saturday. She is very good and reasonable priced. We hope you will sign up for a relaxing massage.

Saturday from noon to 4 PM DJ John will be playing on the patio.

At 5 PM we have Steel Pan Music by the Panyard Drums to entertain us while we enjoy the pig roast and potluck dinner. Bill, form Spit Roasters, remember how good the pig roast was last year, will be roasting a pig again this year.

At 8:00 PM it’s the 50/50 drawing followed by a Hula Hoop and Limbo contest and Pat [John] doing the Hula.

At 9:00 PM we will be dancing to The Classics. This is the same group that everyone enjoyed and danced to last year.

Saturday, the WTL Volleyball tounament with 9:30 signups, at 10:00 the tounament starts on the hard courts. Mixed A-B-C teams. On Sunday it will be the A-B-C separate teams. Register at 9:30 and the games start at 10:00 AM

You can find the flyers for these events on the website.

Have a good week and we hope to see you the luau.
